Having a library card lets you:

- Books
- Magazines
- DVDs
- CDs
- Access library eResources
- Use library wifi
- Order items and place holds from other regional Alberta libraries through TRAC
- Order items from any other academic or public library through Relais
- Join and borrow from other Alberta metropolitan libraries and library systems using the ME Libraries website - and return them anywhere in Alberta when you're done

You can now get a library membership online, and it's still free! You will be required to provide a little information, like your email address or phone number, but nothing that we wouldn't ask for in the library when getting a membership in person.
What happens after you sign up online? You will be able to place holds on something physical, like a book or a DVD, and access all our digital resources. This will tide you over until you come into the library to get your library card - you have four weeks to do this or your card will expire.
